Why wasn't I invited?

Yesterday I stayed at V's house after practice. We were bored so we called some friends We called them and they were all "Hi V!" So she said hi and mentioned that I was here. Then they suddenly said "I have to go, call you back". V was all "Oh I said you wer here and they hung up!" She were just joking, but I can't help but wonder if she's actually right... V's cool, I just keep wondering how we became friends. I mean the more I think about it, the more I realize how different we are. Don't get me wrong, she's a great friend and I really like her, but we have so many differences. She's one of those girls that just calls people on the phone to talk. Yes, that is normal sounding but I can't explain it better, sorry. She knows everyone, at our school & at other schools, in our grade & and above our grade. I know people at other schools (because they were from my school, how LAME am I? :( ) and other grades but not like her. She can get along with evryone but they don't even say hi to me when we pass in the hall, so I feel uncomfortable saying hi. Why are some people that way? And why aren't some?

Do you say hi to them?
Do they have a preconceived notion about them?
Do you help them out of your way?
In high school, to be miss popular might be easy but to recognize that someone has a pure heart is difficult. too much peer pressure.
people who appreciate you will find you. dont worry and keep your chin up.
